Personal identifying information of applicants for president of a state university or Florida College System institution is confidential and exempt from public records requirements

Identifying information of final applicants must be made public at least 21 days before any interview or final vote on employment

Meetings held to identify or vet presidential applicants may be closed to the public, but a complete recording must be made and no portion may be held off the record

Public meeting exemptions do not apply to meetings establishing applicant qualifications, compensation frameworks, or meetings after final candidates are selected

Exemptions are subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and will be repealed on October 2, 2025, unless reenacted by the Legislature
