Requires district boards to coordinate with school districts to identify schools built before 1986 and provide funding for lead reduction in drinking water sources.

Mandates installation of point-of-use filters meeting NSF International/ANSI Standard 53 on all drinking water sources, with filters certified for 7,900 gallons and replaced annually.

Requires schools to post warning signs on non-drinking water sources and school districts to publish websites listing all drinking water sources with installation dates, replacement schedules, and compliance status.

Allows district boards to request additional funds to compensate school staff for filter installation or replacement, not to exceed total appropriation amount.

Appropriates $3 million in nonrecurring funds from the Drinking Water Revolving Loan Trust Fund for fiscal year 2020-2021 to implement the requirements.
