• Requires law enforcement to obtain a search warrant (rather than a court order) to intercept wire, oral, or electronic communications, establishing stronger constitutional protections against unreasonable interception of private communications.

• Authorizes service providers to assist with authorized interceptions only upon receipt of a search warrant issued by a judge, and prohibits disclosure of interception existence without proper legal process notification.

• Establishes search warrant requirements for real-time location tracking and acquisition of historical location data, limiting initial periods to 45 days (extendable for good cause) and requiring notice to tracked persons within 10 days of warrant expiration.
