Requires the Florida Department of Education to adopt native language versions of school readiness screeners, prekindergarten assessments, and kindergarten readiness screeners, starting with the two most prevalent languages among English language learners

Mandates that high school equivalency examinations administered in any language other than English be given equal weight as those administered in English

Requires school districts to administer native language versions of statewide standardized assessments and end-of-course (EOC) assessments to English language learners when appropriate, with parents of students in grades PreK-5 determining appropriateness and students in grades 6-12 making their own determination

Directs the State Board of Education to adopt standards for heritage language courses and develop language proficiency and content assessments for dual language, bilingual education, and heritage language programs

Requires the State Board of Education and Board of Governors to develop native language versions of the common placement test for public postsecondary education, beginning with the two most prevalent languages among English language learners
