Changes certification of master social workers from optional ("may certify") to mandatory ("shall certify") and reduces the required experience from 3 years to 2 years of post-master's supervised practice

Requires all licensed clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, mental health counselors, certified master social workers, registered interns, and provisional licensees to include their professional titles on social media in addition to traditional promotional materials

Removes the 60-day application deadline requirement before examinations and the separate $250 examination fee for certified master social worker applicants

Prohibits certified master social workers from providing clinical social work services, maintaining the distinction between generalist and clinical practice
