Creates a public records exemption for certain aquaculture records held by the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, including shellfish receiving and production logs, planting and harvesting amounts, vendor information, invoices, receipts, production volume, and inventory records

Exemption applies to records from shellfish processing facilities, submerged land leases, and certified aquaculture facilities

Applies retroactively to aquaculture records held before, on, or after July 1, 2020

Subject to automatic repeal on October 2, 2025, under the Open Government Sunset Review Act unless reenacted by the Legislature

Justified by the need to protect aquaculture businesses from theft (particularly at remote submerged land lease locations) and to encourage producers to operate in Florida and comply with reporting requirements
