Mandates hearing aids for children under 18 be prescribed, fitted, and dispensed by a licensed physician or audiologist, while those ages 18-21 may also use a licensed hearing aid specialist

Sets minimum coverage at $3,500 per ear within a 24-month period

Allows a new 24-month coverage period to begin if a child experiences significant unexpected hearing changes or medical conditions requiring a new hearing aid before the existing period expires

Applies to policies issued or renewed on or after January 1, 2021
