Creates the Teacher Scholarship Program within the Department of Education to encourage academically excellent students to pursue teaching careers

Undergraduate students in approved teacher preparation programs may receive up to $5,000 per semester ($10,000 annually) for 2-3 years if they have SAT scores at the 80th percentile or higher and maintain a 3.25 GPA

Graduate students pursuing master's, specialist, or doctoral degrees in education who did not previously earn an undergraduate teaching degree may receive up to $10,000 annually for up to 2 years

Scholarship recipients who complete their degree and their first year as a public school classroom teacher in Florida receive a one-time $10,000 stipend

Program implementation is contingent on specific legislative funding, and the department may prorate awards if appropriations are insufficient
