Pool owners who elect to install devices must comply with requirements by December 31, 2020 or the local health department's deadline, whichever is earlier

Devices must be permanently mounted inside the pool enclosure or within 75 feet of a bather entrance, with dialing instructions included

If mounted outside the enclosure, a sign must be posted inside indicating the device's location, and the device must be visible from within the enclosure

Properties with compliant emergency telecommunication devices are eligible for adjustments or discounts on general liability insurance rates related to drowning or swimming pool accident reduction
