Licensed healthcare facilities must conduct anonymous patient safety culture surveys at least every two years using the federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's Survey on Patient Safety Culture

Facilities must submit survey data, including participation rates, to the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) in a specified format and may develop internal action plans to improve results between surveys

AHCA must collect, compile, and publish patient safety culture survey data, customize surveys to assess whether staff would seek care at their own facility, and add pediatric cardiology units to hospital survey categories

Survey results will be published for each facility in aggregate, by composite measure, and by applicable units or work areas

Appropriates $75,306 in recurring funds and $87,171 in nonrecurring funds from the Health Care Trust Fund, along with one full-time position, to AHCA for implementation effective July 1, 2020
