Repeals Section 741.212, Florida Statutes, which prohibited recognition of same-sex marriages

Removes the prohibition on recognizing same-sex marriages entered into in any jurisdiction

Eliminates restrictions preventing the state, its agencies, and subdivisions from giving effect to public acts, records, or judicial proceedings from any jurisdiction regarding same-sex marriages or relationships

Removes the statutory definition of the term "marriage" that limited it to opposite-sex couples

Effective date of July 1, 2020
