Requires the Agency for Health Care Administration to contract with a private entity to establish and maintain a statewide heart attack registry, contingent upon legislative appropriation of funds

Mandates all hospitals regulated under Chapter 395 to regularly report heart attack performance measures to the registry using a nationally recognized data collection platform

Registry will be used to improve heart attack care systems, ensure compliance with national guidelines, and monitor patient outcomes

Grants hospitals immunity from liability for providing information to the statewide heart attack registry

Effective date of October 1, 2020
