Named the "Zachary Martin Act," this legislation enhances safety requirements for student athletes participating in extracurricular athletic activities in Florida public schools

Requires automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to be available in clearly marked locations at all athletic contests, practices, workouts, and conditioning sessions, including those held outside the school year

Beginning June 1, 2021, mandates that a school employee or volunteer trained in CPR and AED use be present at all athletic events, practices, workouts, and conditioning sessions year-round

Directs the Florida High School Athletic Association to establish heat stress monitoring guidelines, hydration protocols, and cooling zone requirements including cold-water immersion tubs for treating exertional heatstroke

Expands medical evaluation requirements for student athletes to include conditioning activities and extends these requirements to activities occurring outside the school year
