Removes the requirement that students must not have been found guilty of, or pleaded nolo contendere to, a felony charge to be eligible for Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program initial awards

Currently, students with felony convictions can only qualify if granted clemency by the Governor and Cabinet; this bill eliminates that restriction entirely

All other eligibility requirements remain unchanged, including Florida residency, earning a standard high school diploma, enrollment in an eligible Florida postsecondary institution, and minimum 6 credit hour enrollment

Effective date of July 1, 2020
