The facility has grown from 152,000 square feet to 250,000 square feet, housing more than 530 species, 8,000 animals, and 5,000 plant specimens

The Florida Aquarium made history as the first in the world to successfully spawn functionally extinct pillar coral in a laboratory and has reproduced over 5,000 staghorn coral larvae for reef restoration

Directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to Kimberly Bruce, chair of The Florida Aquarium Board of Directors
