Creates a public records exemption for the name, address, and telephone number of individuals receiving shelter or assistance from a government agency during an emergency

Protects information from disclosure under Florida's public records law (s. 119.07(1)) and the State Constitution's public records provision

Exemption is subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and will automatically repeal on October 2, 2025, unless the Legislature reenacts it

Justification states that emergency shelter users are in a vulnerable state, having left their homes and possessions, and their personal information could be exploited by bad actors during or after emergencies

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law
