Florida College System institutions, school district career centers, and charter technical career centers may waive out-of-state fees for students living in a recovery residence as defined in section 397.311.

Tuition and fees charged to students granted the waiver cannot exceed the amount charged to resident students.

The waiver applies for 110 percent of the required credit hours of the student's degree or certificate program.

Each eligible institution and career center must report annually to the State Board of Education the number and value of all fee waivers granted.

The State Board of Education shall adopt rules to administer the waiver program, effective July 1, 2021.
