Requires the Office of Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability (OPPAGA) to conduct a study on the prevalence and effects of lead in drinking water in public schools.

Study must examine lead's effects on children's health, growth, and mental development; the financial impact to the state; how much each school district is affected; costs to maintain lead pipes and soldered connections; and costs for point-of-use water filters certified by the American National Standards Institute.

OPPAGA must consult with district school boards, district boards, and other interested entities while conducting the study.

OPPAGA must submit the study to the Governor, President of the Senate, and Speaker of the House of Representatives by January 1, 2022.

Act becomes effective upon passage and automatically repeals on June 30, 2022, unless reenacted by the Legislature.
