• Department of Economic Opportunity must develop a mobile-optimized website to make the reemployment assistance program accessible through mobile devices.

• Mobile website must allow claimants to file claims, view claim information 24/7, update information, choose notification preferences, establish payment methods, manage PINs, obtain claim and payment information, and submit work search contacts.

• Implementation project is named the "Modernization Project" and must reach full operational status no later than the end of fiscal year 2022-2023, contingent upon legislative appropriation.

• Executive steering committee composed of the executive directors of the Department of Economic Opportunity and Department of Revenue, the Division of Workforce Services director, General Tax Administration Program Office director, and the department's chief information officer will oversee the project.

• Project management team composed of senior managers and stakeholders must provide daily oversight, submit operational plans with quarterly updates, and submit monthly status reports to the executive steering committee; act takes effect July 1, 2021.
