Division of Emergency Management must complete an inventory of personal protective equipment (respirators, gloves, gowns, and masks) held in reserve for declared emergencies caused by infectious or communicable diseases.

Division must plan for and procure personal protective equipment or establish sufficient standby logistic contracts to ensure availability during declared infectious disease emergencies.

Personal protective equipment shall be available for purchase by healthcare practitioners and employers of healthcare practitioners at the cost procured or negotiated by the division.

Equipment purchased from the division may not be resold at a price exceeding the original purchase price.

The act takes effect July 1, 2021.
