Merges the Myakka City Fire Control District (a dependent district of Manatee County) into the East Manatee Fire Rescue District (an independent fire district) effective October 1, 2021

Authorizes the East Manatee Fire Rescue District to levy an ad valorem tax not to exceed 1 mil annually under Chapter 191, Florida Statutes to fund fire rescue services

Expands the East Manatee Fire Rescue District's jurisdictional boundaries to include the geographic area of the Myakka City Fire Control District through detailed legal descriptions of the incorporated lands

Follows voter approval by Myakka City residents on August 18, 2020, and subsequent county commission approval on August 25, 2020, with an interlocal agreement already in place for cross-training between the two departments

Takes effect October 1, 2021, pending Manatee County's adoption of an ordinance to dissolve the Myakka City Fire Control District
