Modifies Florida's Criminal Punishment Code to establish a computed recommended sentencing range from the lowest permissible sentence to the highest recommended prison sentence to guide judges' sentencing decisions.

Changes the threshold for triggering prison sentences from 44 points to 52 points; when total sentence points are less than 52, the lowest permissible sentence is any nonstate prison sanction with a highest recommended sentence of 12 months of nonstate incarceration.

Revises the lowest permissible prison sentence calculation by subtracting 36 points instead of 28 points from total sentence points and decreasing the remaining total by 25 percent when points exceed 52.

Adds a new calculation for highest recommended prison sentence by subtracting 36 points from total sentence points and increasing the remaining total by 25 percent.

Removes prior limitations on sentence appeals that restricted appeals to only cases where sentences fell below the lowest permissible sentence.

Takes effect July 1, 2021.
