• Requires the Department of Children and Families to analyze data on involuntary examinations of K-12 students, including the number transported from school grounds and types of professionals initiating such examinations.

• Establishes parent rights to timely notification of threats, unlawful acts, and significant emergencies at schools, and access to school safety incident reports.

• Requires school districts and charter schools to adopt family reunification plans and establish threat assessment teams to identify and intervene with individuals posing threats to school safety.

• Mandates safe-school officers complete mental health crisis intervention training and authorizes multiple options including school resource officers, school safety officers, school guardians, and school security guards.

• Revises student codes of conduct to include civil citation diversion programs and school-based intervention programs, and requires mental health assistance allocation funds for school-based mental health services, screenings, and community provider partnerships.
