Establishes a Public Health Task Force within the Legislature to assess the Department of Health's resources, capacity, and framework for delivering public health services statewide.

Task force membership consists of the State Surgeon General, three county health department directors (from minority-majority, rural, and urban counties), and representatives from nine health-related organizations including the Florida Medical Association and Florida Public Health Association.

Task force shall analyze the department's preparedness for disasters, service delivery gaps, funding and staffing levels, workforce composition, and information infrastructure capabilities by referencing Public Health Accreditation Board Standards and CDC guidelines.

Task force must submit findings and recommendations to the Governor and Legislature by September 30, 2022, and shall hold its first meeting by October 1, 2021.

Task force expires October 1, 2022; members serve without compensation but are entitled to per diem and travel reimbursement.
