Prohibits insurers and health maintenance organizations from excluding coverage for cancer treatment drugs based solely on lack of FDA approval if the drug is recognized in standard reference compendia or recommended in medical literature.

Prohibits insurers and HMOs from requiring prior failure with a different drug before covering prescriptions for stage 4 metastatic cancer treatment and associated conditions.

Defines "associated condition" as a symptom or side effect of cancer or its treatment that, in a health care provider's judgment, will further jeopardize the patient's health if left untreated.

Prohibits insurers and HMOs from requiring cancer medications be sent for home infusion unless the treating oncologist determines home infusion will not jeopardize the patient's health.

Includes medically necessary services associated with drug administration in required coverage and takes effect January 1, 2022.
