Changes law enforcement accreditation from a voluntary to a mandatory program for state and local law enforcement agencies, correctional facilities, public agency offices of inspectors general, and pretrial diversion programs.

Requires the Department of Law Enforcement to establish a review process to assist agencies that fail to obtain or maintain accreditation, including submission of accreditation action plans and memoranda of understanding for agencies not demonstrating adequate progress.

Mandates the state accreditation program address minimum standards including vehicle pursuits, use of force, traffic stops, complaint processing, evidence collection, officer training, disciplinary procedures, and special operations.

Directs the Department of Law Enforcement to provide adequate support staff to the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation, Inc., and the Florida Corrections Accreditation Commission, Inc., subject to available funding.

Effective date: July 1, 2021.
