Employers must facilitate service of process by making employees available to accept service in a designated private area, with violations subject to penalties under section 843.02.

Persons in charge of private mailboxes, virtual offices, and executive office or mini suites must confirm whether a person to be served maintains an account at that location when presented with the person's name and address, with refusal constituting a violation.

Service on registered agents, members, managers, officers, or directors of limited liability companies and corporations at residence or private mailbox addresses may be made at any hour and does not need to first be attempted during normal business hours.

Certified process servers are authorized to serve any nonenforceable civil process, expanded from the previous authorization limited to initial nonenforceable civil process.

Municipal, state, and county agencies, boards, commissions, departments, subdivisions, and school districts may designate one or more employees to accept service of process in lieu of specified officers and members.
