Authorizes local governments to waive fees associated with enforcing the Florida Building Code for costs related to affordable housing construction under chapter 420.

Permits local governments to adopt ordinances that exempt permits for affordable housing construction from fees otherwise charged for enforcing the Florida Building Code.

Applies to direct and indirect costs associated with plan review, inspections, permit processing, building code enforcement, and fire inspections for new construction.

Takes effect July 1, 2021.
