Department of Environmental Protection must monitor consumptive use permits for all bottled water companies to ensure compliance with water extraction limits for natural water and approved sources.

Water extraction must be measured in gallons at the bottling facility to verify compliance.

Daily fines up to $500 shall be imposed for each day a company fails to pay required fees.

Department shall adopt rules under Florida Administrative Code sections 120.536(1) and 120.54 to implement and enforce this section.

Exemption applies to bottled water companies permitted to extract less than 55 million gallons per calendar year.
