Exempts personal identifying information in applications for certification as a victim of Florida reform school abuse from public records disclosure requirements under Florida law and the state constitution.

Applies to applications submitted to the Department of State by persons seeking victim certification under the Arthur G. Dozier School for Boys and Okeechobee School Abuse Victim Certification Act.

Legislature finds that protecting personal identifying information encourages victims to come forward and prevents further embarrassment to abuse survivors.

Exemption subject to sunset review and automatically repeals on December 31, 2022, unless reenacted by the Legislature.

Takes effect contingent upon CS for SB 288 or similar legislation becoming law in the same legislative session.
