Amends section 502.222, Florida Statutes to permanently retain a public records exemption for dairy industry business trade secrets held by the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

Removes the scheduled repeal date of October 2, 2021 that was established under the Open Government Sunset Review Act.

Maintains confidentiality protection for information that would reveal trade secrets as defined in section 812.081, Florida Statutes.

Requires the department to notify in writing any person requesting information if the department determines the information would reveal a protected trade secret.

Takes effect October 1, 2021.
