Amends s. 790.065, F.S. to make records containing information about ammunition buyers or transferees who are not prohibited under Florida and federal law confidential and exempt from public records disclosure.

Requires the Department of Law Enforcement to destroy such records immediately after communicating approval/nonapproval numbers to the licensee, and in no case later than 48 hours after responding to the request.

Exemption is subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and shall automatically repeal on October 2, 2027, unless reenacted by the Legislature.

Legislature finds public necessity for the exemption based on preventing harassment of law-abiding ammunition purchasers and referencing prior legislative findings that firearm registries can be used to profile and harass citizens exercising Second Amendment rights.

Effective date is contingent upon HB 181 or similar legislation being adopted in the same legislative session and becoming law.
