Department of Health, in collaboration with the Board of Medicine, shall conduct a study evaluating the therapeutic efficacy of MDMA, psilocybin, and ketamine in treating mental health and medical conditions.

Study must assess depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, chronic pain, and migraines as treatment targets.

Study shall compare the effectiveness of alternative therapies with currently used treatments for the listed conditions.

Department of Health must submit written report with findings and recommendations to the Governor, President of the Senate, and Speaker of the House by September 1, 2023.

Act takes effect July 1, 2022, and the statutory section expires September 30, 2023.
