Require public school instruction on the history of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, including immigration, citizenship, civil rights, identity, culture, and contributions to American society.

Mandate that instructional materials include the contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders to American society.

Authorize the State Board of Education to adopt standards and pursue assessment of these instructional requirements.

Update cross-references in sections 1006.148 and 1014.05 to reflect the addition of the new instructional requirement.
