Requires members of instructional staff in Florida public schools to provide instruction on social media literacy as part of the required curriculum under section 1003.42, Florida Statutes.

Defines "social media" as interactive electronic communication through Internet websites or applications where users create identifying profiles to connect with others and share information, ideas, news, stories, opinions, images, and other content.

Mandates that district school boards make social media literacy instructional materials available online and notify parents of the materials' online availability.

Encourages the State Board of Education to adopt standards and assess compliance with these requirements, while allowing character development programs incorporating Congressional Medal of Honor values to satisfy related requirements.

Takes effect July 1, 2022.
