Changes certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) from operating under "onsite medical direction" to operating "in collaboration" with licensed physicians under chapters 458, 459, or 466.

Defines "collaboration" as the joint relationship where the physician performs or is directly involved in the medical or surgical procedure while the CRNA administers anesthesia, including joint formulation of patient treatment plans.

Authorizes CRNAs to perform anesthesia-related functions including determining patient health status, selecting anesthesia type, administering regional/spinal/general anesthesia, monitoring patients, managing life support, and treating cardiac arrhythmias.

Removes requirement for written protocols to be maintained on-site for CRNAs practicing in collaboration with physicians.

Updates cross-reference in victim forensic examination provisions to reflect renumbered statute sections and takes effect July 1, 2022.
