Amends section 1009.89, Florida Statutes to expand eligibility for William L. Boyd, IV grants by removing the "nonprofit" restriction to include certain for-profit independent colleges and universities.

Removes the word "nonprofit" from subsection (1) describing eligible institutions as part of the state's higher education system that reduces tax burden on citizens.

Removes the word "nonprofit" from subsection (3) which specifies eligibility criteria for institutions (must be independent, located in and chartered by Florida, accredited by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, grant baccalaureate degrees, and have a secular purpose).

Clarifies the grant program is a tuition assistance program rather than a financial aid program, as it is not based on student financial need or other financial aid criteria.

Takes effect July 1, 2022.
