Appropriates $7.5 million from the Highway Safety Operating Trust Fund to compensate Christeia Jones and her three minor sons (Logan Grant, Denard Maybin Jr., and Lanard Maybin) for injuries sustained in a May 18, 2014 automobile accident caused by Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Raul Umana on I-75 near Ocala.

All three children suffered severe traumatic brain injuries requiring extended hospitalization and rehabilitation; Logan Grant and Denard Maybin Jr. are expected to require lifetime guardianship and attendant care with permanent employment disabilities.

Payment of $7.5 million represents the remaining balance of a $7.785 million settlement agreement reached on November 30, 2018, with the Division of Risk Management having already paid $285,000 under statutory liability limits.

Limits attorney fees to $1.5 million, lobbying fees to $375,000, and costs/expenses to $34,849.92; payment amount will be reduced by outstanding Medicaid liens totaling $254,520.29.

Establishes the combined payment from this act and the Division of Risk Management's prior payment as sole compensation for all present and future claims arising from the accident.
