Allows uncertified or unregistered persons to perform specialty contracting work on commercial or residential swimming pools, interactive water features, hot tubs, and spas if supervised by a licensed contractor certified under sections 489.105(3)(j), (k), or (l)

Requires the supervising contractor to be responsible for the work and the work must fall within the supervising contractor's scope of practice

Eliminates the requirement for a direct contract between the supervising contractor and the person performing the work, and the worker does not need to be an employee of the supervising contractor

Prohibits this authorization from expanding a contractor's scope to provide plumbing or electrical services that require separate certification or registration

Takes effect July 1, 2022
