Restructures criminal penalties for unlicensed contracting violations by establishing separate tiers based on money received for operating as an unlicensed contractor.

Money received less than $1,000 is a first-degree misdemeanor; $1,000 to less than $20,000 is a third-degree felony; $20,000 to less than $200,000 is a second-degree felony; $200,000 or more is a first-degree felony.

Maintains existing first-degree felony penalties for prior violations, state of emergency violations, and unlicensed operation of pollutant storage systems contractors and related specialists.

Permits imposition of criminal penalties in addition to remedies under s. 489.129(2).

Takes effect July 1, 2022.
