Creates section 627.7491, F.S., requiring law enforcement employing agencies to maintain motor vehicle insurance when authorizing officers to travel to residence in official vehicles

Insurance must include bodily injury, death, and property damage liability coverage for travel to/from work and other agency assignments in official law enforcement vehicles

Exempts coverage requirements when law enforcement officers make distinct deviations for nonessential personal errands (unless a collective bargaining agreement permits) or act in bad faith or with willful disregard for safety or property

Limits damages in suits against employing agencies to the liability limitations in section 768.28(5) and allows agencies to meet insurance requirements through methods authorized in section 768.28(16)
