Expands fee waiver eligibility to include students who were placed in the custody of a relative or nonrelative before January 7, 2003, in addition to those currently placed.

Clarifies that placements made pursuant to sections 39.5085 or 39.6225 qualify for tuition and fee exemptions at school districts, Florida College System institutions, or state universities.

Maintains existing exemption for students adopted from the Department of Children and Families after May 5, 1997, and extends validity until the student reaches 28 years of age.

Includes fees associated with enrollment in applied academics for adult education instruction within the exemption coverage.

Effective date: July 1, 2022.
