Exempts records containing information about buyers or transferees of ammunition who are not prohibited under Florida and federal law from public records requirements under Florida Statutes s. 119.07(1) and the State Constitution.

Requires the Department of Law Enforcement to destroy records used for criminal history checks related to ammunition transfers immediately after communicating approval/nonapproval numbers to licensees, and in any event within 48 hours.

Subjects the exemption to the Open Government Sunset Review Act with an automatic repeal date of October 2, 2027, unless the Legislature reenacts it.

Establishes legislative findings that exemption is necessary to protect lawful ammunition purchasers from harassment or profiling based on their Second Amendment rights and firearm ownership.

Takes effect on the same date as SB 334 or similar legislation, if adopted in the same legislative session and signed into law.
