Creates s. 784.04875 establishing a first-degree misdemeanor for committing domestic violence or dating violence as defined in existing statutes.

Amends s. 790.065 to prohibit firearm sales to persons convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence offenses under the new statute and federal law (18 U.S.C. s. 922(d)(9)).

Amends s. 790.233 to prohibit persons convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence offenses from possessing firearms or ammunition and requires court-ordered surrender of all firearms, ammunition, and concealed carry licenses upon conviction.

Establishes procedures for law enforcement to take possession of surrendered firearms, issue receipts, file documentation with courts, and allows transfer of firearms to eligible third parties under specified conditions; authorizes search warrants if defendant fails to comply.

Creates s. 790.234 requiring law enforcement to temporarily remove firearms from domestic violence scenes when probable cause exists that domestic violence occurred and firearm is in plain view or discovered through lawful search; owner may reclaim firearm within 14 days unless ordered to surrender under s. 790.233.
