Creates section 900.06, Florida Statutes, titled the "Gay and Transgender Panic Legal Defenses Prohibition Act"

Prohibits use of a victim's nonviolent sexual advance, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression as a legal defense, excuse, justification, or sentencing mitigation in criminal proceedings

Defines "gay and transgender panic legal defense" as a legal strategy asking a judge or jury to find that a victim's sexual orientation or gender identity caused the defendant's criminal conduct

Defines "sexual orientation," "gender expression," and "gender identity" for purposes of the statute

Effective date July 1, 2022
