Requires board directors of residential condominium associations, cooperative associations, and homeowners' associations (with at least 10 units) to complete both an affidavit certification AND educational curriculum within 90 days of election or appointment

Eliminates the previous option allowing directors to choose between written certification OR educational certificate; now both are mandatory requirements

Directors must certify by affidavit that they have read and will uphold the association's governing documents including declarations, bylaws, articles of incorporation, and written policies

Educational certificates must be from a division-approved provider and can be completed within 1 year before or 90 days after election/appointment

Directors who fail to timely file both the affidavit and educational certificate are suspended from board service until compliance; associations must retain these documents for 5 years for member inspection
