Mandates notifications be provided in a language understandable to students and parents, and must include contact information for a certified school counselor who can advise on these options

Requires middle school students' personalized academic and career plans to be developed in consultation with a certified school counselor

Expands required information in personalized academic and career plans to include the career and technical education pathway to earn a standard high school diploma and work-based learning opportunities such as internships and apprenticeships

Effective date of July 1, 2022
