Creates s. 790.0656, F.S., requiring licensed importers, manufacturers, and dealers to securely store firearms on business premises when not open for business using one of three methods.

Permits firearm storage via hardened steel rod or cable of at least 1/8 inch diameter through the trigger guard, secured with a hardened steel lock with shackle protected from bolt cutters and anchored to prevent removal.

Allows alternative storage in a locked, fireproof safe or vault on premises, or in a hardened, impact-resistant, locked cabinet.

Authorizes Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services agents or employees to inspect business premises at all reasonable hours to ensure compliance.

Establishes violations as noncriminal penalties punishable under s. 775.083, effective October 1, 2022.
