Requires instructional staff in Florida public schools to provide instruction on social media literacy as part of required curriculum.

Defines "social media" as interactive electronic communication through websites or applications where users create profiles to connect with others and share information, ideas, news, stories, opinions, images, and content.

Mandates district school boards make social media literacy instructional materials available online and notify parents of their availability.

Encourages the State Board of Education to adopt standards and pursue assessment of social media literacy requirements.

Effective date: July 1, 2022.
