Increases motor vehicle exemption from legal process for individual debtors filing under federal Bankruptcy Code from $1,000 to $5,000 in value for a single motor vehicle.

Applies the $5,000 exemption only to bankruptcy actions filed on or after July 1, 2022.

Maintains the $1,000 exemption for other legal processes (attachment, garnishment) outside of bankruptcy proceedings.

Reorganizes Florida Statute 222.25 by converting numbered provisions to lettered subsections without changing existing exemptions for health aids, tax refunds, or other personal property.

Effective date: July 1, 2022.
